Gary Terzano sent me this information on Ken McKenzie on Wednesday January 16, 2019.

Ken McKenzie graduated from Hackensack High School in 1963 and joined the Army in 1965 serving till 1967 as a Specialist E-4 Infantry. Ken served overseas in Vietnam from 1966 to 1967 with the 196th Light Infantry Division for 6 months and then the 25th Division for 6 months.
Ken McKenzie’s area of operations was Saigon and near the Cambodian border. Ken McKenzie received the Infantryman Award CIB (combat infantry badge) during his service in Vietnam.
Gary Terzano also sent information on David Gaige at the same time and in a Special note he explains why:

Special Note: Dave and Ken have been friends since early childhood here in the Fairmount Section of Hackensack.

As you can see they have the same military history because they enlisted together in the buddy system. In 1965, the U.S. Army sent whole units on troop ships over to Vietnam to start our involvement. Later on as the draft grew, most soldiers filled in units as replacements for casualties and returning GIs once their tours were over.

Currently, Dave Gaige volunteers his time for over ten years helping Veterans at the State Veterans Home in Paramus. Veterans from the eras of World War II, Korea, Vietnam, and the Middle East campaigns.
